Christian Gibson has over 25 years of transactional experience across the energy sector. Gibson has led numerous public and private debt and equity transactions and advised on multiple M&A transactions and restructurings for energy transition, exploration and production and oilfield service companies, aggregating more than $50 billion in transaction value.
Gibson co-headed the U.S. energy practice at Stifel. Prior to that, he headed the U.S. energy practices at both GMP Securities and Canaccord Genuity. Prior to Canaccord, Gibson worked in energy corporate finance for Banc of America Securities, an energy investment affiliate of Jefferies Capital Partners and RBC Capital Markets.
Christian Gibson is Managing Director, Energy Investment Banking at Texas Capital Securities, Texas Capital’s broker-dealer subsidiary. He is responsible for expanding the firm’s investment banking relationships and manages the group’s strong technical and financial team in the execution oftransactions.
Christian earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics at the University of Texas at Austin. He is Series 7, 63, and 24 certified.
